Edwards Lifesciences is committed to supporting independent research in the area of valve science and hemodynamic monitoring in order to enhance scientific knowledge for the purpose of extending and enhancing human life.
In accordance with this commitment, Edwards Lifesciences considers requests for unsolicited investigator-initiated studies (“IIS”). Edwards Lifesciences will consider funding requests, whether financial or in-kind, for IIS that have scientific and medical merit, and are developed and sponsored by an independent investigator or academic sponsor. These studies address meaningful scientific and/or clinical objectives consistent with EW strategic goals, and are based on milestone deliverables and payments.
Edwards Lifesciences will only undertake funding support for IIS that are able to demonstrate clear evidence of high ethical standards with respect to clinical research in human subjects as stipulated by the International Conference of Harmonization (ICH) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
